Leadline finds a small business its next customers: real local businesses, a checked email, the owner’s name, a first email ready to send.
Small business owners know who their best customers are, but finding new ones means hours on Google Maps, hunting for real emails and guessing who’s in charge. Apollo and Clay are paid, hard to set up, and work from stale data. A CRM only stores leads you already have. Leadline does the step before: you describe your customer, and it finds them. You describe who you want in one sentence. In about a minute, Leadline searches the map, drops chains and closed businesses, and reads each business’s own website for an email and the owner’s name. It checks each email can receive mail, then ranks the leads with a clear next step, e.g. “contact her first: she’s the owner.” Claude drafts each email from facts it verified on the business’s site. The owner reviews every draft and sends it from their own email app; Leadline never sends anything itself. Setup: follow the README, run one command, and Leadline opens in your browser. Basic search works with no keys. For Google Maps results and Claude-written emails, paste two keys into Settings. It’s free and open source. Still rough: there’s no hosted version, so running it needs a terminal. Some networks block the mailbox check. The free map service is sometimes busy, and vague searches return weak matches.
